This is a short 50 page book about the basics of Robert's Rules of Order in English and Spanish. The information is presented in alternating page format with an English page followed by a Spanish page which says the same thing in Spanish. The purpose of this booklet is to teach Spanish speakers how to make motions according to Robert’s Rules of Order. It is based on the book Webster’s New World Robert’s Rules of Order Simplified and Applied and the many DVD’s produced by Robert McConnell Productions. We hope that this will help the Spanish speaking people in the United States conduct meetings according to democratic principles. We hope this helps them learn English, too, so that they can participate in meetings whether they are conducted in Spanish or in English.
This booklet is designed to give a brief description of each motion.
• Its purpose

Under each motion is an example of a member making the motion. Then it shows how the president states the motion to the assembly; how he takes the vote and announces the result of the vote. Members and presidents can use this booklet to help them during the meeting.
