Tips for Passing the PSIA Level 1 Exam

My Journey to Level 1

I had to take the PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) Level 1 Certification Exam twice. The first time, instead of it being a 2-day exam, they had to compress it down to 1-day because of a bad blizzard (I remember driving there that morning, leaving an extra 2 hours early wondering how the skiing would be and if I'd make it there) and I didn't meet the standards that time. It was at the end of my first season teaching, too. The good news is that they let me take it again for free and I did pass it the second time.

Now, I'm going for Level 3, so right after passing the Level 2 Exam, I decided to write a book about it. I got great feedback on it, so I decided I should go back and write a book for the Level 1 Exam. I've also been coaching instructors for passing the Level 1 Exam, so I knew what to write to help give people tips on what to study for it and hopefully pass it.

In this book, you'll get tips on how to prepare for the exam, what the exam day will kind of be like, what to study, what to work on with your skiing and sample exam questions. I also put in the feedback I received from examiners so you can see what they're looking for when you take the exam. You'll learn how to format the lesson you give as well. The tips here are great and I'm sure they're going to help you.
