“Microscale Experiment”, which provides a reduced experiment scale, can significantly reduce the amount of liquid wastes and is attracting attention as an environmentally-conscious experiment method. It is also possible to provide a new teaching style through individual experiments by applying microscale experiments to educational experiments in chemistry from elementally schools to High Schools. Expectations and interests are rising for Microscale Experiment as it has various educational effects.
To widely spread microscale experiments in actual classrooms, it would be important to hear a lot of voices from the classrooms. This text was written through the repeated development of teaching materials and classroom practices in a collaboration between academics and practicing science teachers. The purpose of publication of this book is to introduce educational experiments based on the Microscale Experiment method. Such experiments can be easily conducted because they reflect the voices from the classrooms and are brushed up through a lot of classroom practices.
