Having always been inspired by the Hemingway of life, this is a brutally honest true life story of how I started fishing; from the humble beginnings as a little boy catching bait for his father to his coming of age in the piscatorial arena as a professional fishing rod designer for Shimano Japan.

Part fishing travelogue and part memoirs, it first opens and showcases the extremely close and heartwarming bond that fishing has brought to both father and son; when and where my dad first introduced me to the beautiful sport some thirty odd years back. The books also progresses further with chapters on the adventures I have had in the various different countries pursuing different piscatorial targets from the humble Bream in the Swan River through to Marlin and Dogtooth Tuna at the prestigious Rolex/IGFA tournaments.
