Doctor Rawson became the Minister of the Interior in 1863 in the first elected government and founded the Argentine Red Cross and also founded Patagonia for the Welsh people from England to start a colony. The capital is the city of Rawson where Welsh is still spoken even today. He also founded the wealthy suburb of Recoleta and is buried in the center of the famous Recoleta Cemetery where Juan Peron and his wife Evita are also buried. The author, William Derik Rawson is a native Texan from Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley in San Francisco, California and went to high school in Houston, Texas and also in Geneva, Switzerland so he has many native Parisian friends. He speaks English, French and Spanish. He also lived and danced in Buenos Aires, Argentina for five years from 2006 to 2011 and in Berlin, Germany from 2012 to 2014.
