This is a story of three characters whose destinies are inextricably linked. They are two very different greyhounds and one impassioned woman. The first greyhound is bought up in the harsh, money making factory of English greyhound racing and the second in the wild, carefree existence of southern Irish hare coursing. The woman returns to the windy fens of Cambridgeshire from the malaria infested forests of West Africa to find her vocation late on in life is caring for animals. She will eventually adopt the greyhounds.
