To Jones, our 45 mile per hour couch potato, the best friend anybody could ever have, the star of the movie “Montana: I Love Ya!,” the center stage celebrity at the Iowa Greyhound Association’s Iowa State Fair booth for three straight years, the Grade A sensation at Bluffs Run, Council Bluffs, Iowa, racing under the name of RJ’s Beretta, the main character in the novel Down Under Jones and many published magazine stories and articles, including a story in which he was featured with the United States Golden Knights Parachute Team, his lifetime honorary membership in Greyhound Pets of America along with his owners, for book store, television, home show, dog track, and adoption picnic appearances, perhaps the most famous Greyhound in the country. Jones, the central character in a special, well-received magazine published by the Iowa Greyhound Association Travels With Jones.
Jones passed away May 16, 2010 at the age of twelve.
